This has become my first place to check for hardware store related items. Most often, I find what I need and at a reasonable price, or Roger can get it for me in a very reasonable time. It often saves me the half-hour + drive & gas expense of driving into the city. Very good selection and variety of items. Top notch friendly, hometown service. During the recent "Polar Vortex" freeze, they had salt BELOW the cost of what was available in the city (fair pricing under all circumstances vs price gouging?). Mike's small engine repair is also a life saver. Absolutely great quality service and friendly hometown care! Recently sent in my 20 yr old MTD 8 hp snow blower for repair of unk problem, and for a tune up. It came back running better than it has in a long time - almost like new; and under $100 ! No one in Green Bay could touch that service price. In busy season, expect a couple days rotation - he's been "Denmark's Small Engine Guy" for years and has a great following. waiting means a lot of people know where to go for great and honest service.
As a young adult, I'm always looking for advice on things my parents never taught me... like how to use power tools. I'm very happy this little Shop is two blocks away from my home. They're very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. :)
The small engine repair is slow slow slow.. Had a leaf blower there for a month. MIKE the fix it guy was never in and never fixed it. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Mike also has a bad temper when questioned. I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone. I felt sorry for the older couple that runs the hardware store, they were very nice and apologetic for the bad service MIKE gave us and said they were having problems with the service on the small engine part of their business.
I don't always find what I'm looking for but they will always try to help. People are hometown friendly. I like having a place to shop closer to home.
